Bonar has been employed in the financial sector for 30 years and for a decade he has been head of Dalrada. At the same time, Bonar has been Chairman and CEO of Trucept in San Diego. This firm helps small and medium sized companies with management of human resources, employee benefits, staffing, and more. He has been with Trucept since 2011.
Brian Bonar received his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Strathclyde University in Scotland. He went on to get his MBA and PhD in international business development studies from Stafford University in the UK. He holds the honorary title of Lord Bonar of Wilcrick, Cardiff, Wales, UK.
He joined IBM in 1969 and worked as Procurement Manager and was involved with outsourcing parts of personal computers. He remained there until March, 1985, when he left to become Director of Engineering at QMS.
He moved on to Rastek Corporation in June, 1989. He served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing until August, 1993, when he moved to Adaptec Corporation and was named Sales Manager.
Brian Bonar decided to start his own business next, founding and becoming CEO of Bezier Systems in 1994. He wanted to launch the first SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) printer. He became Vice President of Sales and Marketing the following year at Itek Imaging and Technologies, and in 1999, he became Chairman and CEO of Dalrada Financial Services where he maintains his position today. He was also Founder and Managing Member of AMS Outsourcing from June, 2006 to January, 2013, and president of Allegiant Professional Business Services from February, 2008 until December, 2010.
Bonar is also a member of seven different boards in four organizations.
He is a family man who also loves golf.
